Mississippi Democratic Party Urges Every Mississippian to Register Today, the Final Day Before the November 3 Election

JACKSON, Miss. The Mississippi Democratic Party is calling on Mississippians across the state to register to vote today, the final day to be eligible for the November 3 election, and to confirm that their existing registration is active.

Party leaders say the stakes reach well beyond the names on the ballot. November 3 has the potential to make history, both nationally and right here in Mississippi, and every eligible voter who is registered and ready adds to that opportunity.

"Today is the day that decides who gets a voice on November 3," said Mississippi Democratic Party Chairman Cheikh Taylor. "Every Mississippian who registers today is stepping into the decisions that shape our grocery bills, our schools, our hospitals, and our farms. I am asking everyone to take a few minutes right now, register or check your status, and then call three people and help them do the same."

Voters will weigh in on issues that touch daily life in every county, including:

  • Lower fuel and grocery prices for working families

  • Transparency with data centers in Mississippi communities

  • Protecting and strengthening Social Security

  • Expanding Medicaid to bring health care to more Mississippians

  • Safeguarding the right to a free and fair election

  • Holding corrupt politicians accountable

  • Investing in the future of public schools

  • Fair redistricting that gives every community a voice

  • Supporting the survival of Mississippi farms and farm families

  • Protecting freedom of religion for every Mississippian

  • Preserving clean air, water, and soil for the next generation

"Mississippians are ready for leaders who deliver on these priorities, and the way to choose them is to be on the rolls when Election Day arrives," said Mississippi Democratic Party Executive Director Mikel Bolden. "We want every voter to walk into their polling place on November 3 with confidence. Check your registration today, because a voter who confirms their status now can vote with certainty later. Then share this message with everyone in your circle before the clock runs out tonight."

The Mississippi Democratic Party encourages voters to take three steps today:

  1. Register if you are not yet registered at iwillvote.com

  2. Check your status at iwillvote.com to confirm your registration is active

  3. Spread the word by texting, calling, and messaging family, friends, co-workers, church groups, and neighbors to make sure each one is ready to vote
